ASCAP Jazz Notes

A monthly typescript digest of jazz-related news, ASCAP Jazz Notes was a product of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), a rights organization based in New York. Each monthly issue contained ten to fifteen short articles, written in a clear style for use by radio and television broadcasters, news services, or as simple summaries for those in the music and recording industry. From May 1962 to February 1964, all content was written by Dan Morgenstern, thereafter, by Dom Cerulli.
