Jazz New York was a single issue annual published in conjunction with the first New York Jazz Festival. Designed and edited by Jacques Willaumez and Robert Brownjohn, it contains a copious quantity of photography, contributed by a diverse group of photographers. Short articles on jazz in New York, Charlie Parker, east and west coast jazz, form the textual content. The front and back cover, designed by Brownjohn, uses painted letter stencils with a photo of Count Basie.
