Jazz Junction Jive was a two-issue publication of the West London Rhythm Club. Founded in 1942, the Club president was the tenor saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore who also fronted a band for the Club, which included Ken Sykora (guitar), Jimmy MacMillan (trumpet), Wilf Callow (piano), Ron Somers (drums), Johnny Quest (bass), Ted Snoad (tenor saxophone), and George Taylor (trumpet). Most of Jazz Junction Jive’s content revolves around activities of the Club, with short articles on aspects of jazz and jazz history. In addition to club members, contributors include Stanley Dance and Ralph Venables.
