The first of four connected publications, Music Memories – “covering all phases of music collecting,” per the masthead – was produced by Pat and Bill Cather largely for record collectors. Short pieces on labels, collections, and discography, along with piano rolls, concerning ragtime and traditional jazz, comprise most issues. Pat Cather came from a family of publishers and printers and would later become an antiquarian.
